Helldivers 2 is one of the most popular games in the industry today and the game director made the gaming community love it even more. For a video game that is all about intergalactic warfare, the developers are well aware of the casualties and the victims of the spoils of war.
No good comes out of war, only death and destruction. After the dust settled, some survived the conflict and could use a lending hand and the game director recently made a generous donation to help the youth, especially those who require it the most.

Many players have directly reached out to the director and he tended to their needs and assured the community that there will be some improvements with the balancing and scaling efforts of the developers for Helldivers 2. The director is also looking out for the little guys and donated a generous amount for the children who are vulnerable to worldly threats.

This act shows that the game industry cares about everything else happening worldwide and is willing to provide any support it has to offer. Pilestedt has shown a great deal of compassion towards those who are being left out and despite the controversies, he went out of his way and assured that those players who reside in the 180 countries without the PlayStation Network will be tended to.
It is wholesome to see game developers show compassion towards people outside their purview. This is one of the many benefits of video games and it will encourage others to be more kind and do their part to make the world a better place which is Pilestedt’s vision for the player base.

In moments of hardship, it can be hard to look strong when it is the complete opposite on the inside and Pilestedt doesn’t want to put the futures of these children in peril. The director contributed to help reshape the world and it is time for the gaming community to pass it forward.
Arrowhead Game Studios is fortunate to have someone on the inside who sees the bigger picture and has a good moral compass. Pilestedt’s actions will impact how other developers see the world and could start to pull their weight and lend a helping hand.
The game is not perfect but the developers pivoted towards something more pressing. Players are now aware of a real-world threat and if they can do something in the game and respond, they can do it in reality.
