In an interview with Elle, Lopez stated that she wants to do everything men do. The actress wants to change the notion that women only like to watch romance and comedy films. She wants to run the entire gamut and try all kinds of films that are uplifting, empowering, and entertaining. Lopez said,
Uplifting, empowering stories, entertaining stories, and gangster movies. I want to do everything that men do. I want to do all of it…doesn’t like the notion that women only want to see love stories or romantic comedies. I think that’s insulting.
