Every year for more than a decade, Activision-Blizzard is always planning ahead with a new entry in its most profitable franchise, Call of Duty. According to rumors, the new game will be just after Black Ops 2, and it will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War.
There is no confirmation of this name or game officially, but every new leak makes this title a reality. In recent leaks, insiders of this saga talk about how the Exfil mode will be back in this new title, but with a very important change: the possibility of playing with up to four players.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War could make a real change for the franchise after many years
Last year, Activision probably launched one of the worst Call of Duty games ever. Fans really hated how the company reused things from previous games and tried to merge the story with Warzone. Critics and players really noticed this, making Modern Warfare 3 the worst-scored title in the franchise since 2003. Apparently, this could all change in the next iteration of the saga; insiders are leaking some real new features.
According to a known insider and leaker, Activision will change how the Exfil mode works in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War. After several games with the DMZ being reattached to a new title, with the limitation of only extracting a play with three players, four player co-op will be introduced finally.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will finally change this, adding the possibility of having four players play in this mode. Players are very happy after these leaks, which have made some real additions to the new title.

This leak also confirms that this new Call of Duty will have a zombie mode in Modern Warfare 3. Fans are waiting for the return of a proper story mode that doesn’t involve Warzone missions.

If this new Call of Duty also flops between critics and fans, Activision will really have to consider not launching a new game every year. Ubisoft decided not to launch a new Assassin’s Creed every year, creating more gaps between titles. This could be proof of how the industry and consumers are changing to new games. The ultimate test is about to come for the company that created the most profitable IP ever.
