Fans are now discussing two of the worst entries in the franchise, 2013’s Ghosts and 2014’s Advanced Warfare. However, instead of bashing the titles for their shortcomings, players are now wondering if any of these titles will ever get a sequel greenlit by Activision.

The latest entry in the franchise, Modern Warfare 3, did not impress fans with its short campaign, and while multiplayer saved the game, it still did not help much. Fans are now looking forward to Black Ops 6, but one player has sparked the discussion about Advanced Warfare and Ghosts.

Reddit user LaserGamer_90 took to the game’s subreddit and shared a screenshot, adding that both games are on sale and they want to get the one with the best campaign but are confused between the two. Fans had different opinions, but some also said that both games had good campaigns.

Both games did have a good campaign, as per some players, but were poorly executed and lacked in multiple aspects. One player said that they would not recommend playing any of these titles as it was the “beginning of the end of enjoyable COD.” Some also said that Ghosts is by far the best choice.

The majority of the players have said that OP should choose Advanced Warfare as it did not end on a cliffhanger and has a better story. Players also said that the game has more replayability and better mechanics than the 2013 title, which makes it the right decision.

One user said that the players get to kill Kevin Spacey in the game, which makes it worth it, while another added that they are like a “huge outlier,” but they loved the game, and it is one of their favorite games of all time.

Some fans also said that there needs to be a Ghosts 2, and some also pushed for AW to get the same treatment.

While a sequel to Ghosts is unlikely, there may be some chance for an AW sequel, as Sledgehammer reportedly once pitched the game, and maybe fans will get it in the future. However, nothing can be said for certain until there is more news on this, and all fans can do is hope and request Activision.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you like to see a sequel for any of these titles? Let us know in the comments!
