Vinnie Jones earlier commented that he was asked to return in the Deadpool threequel which he did not accept. The actor explained that he did not have a good experience with the third X-Men film and would not return in the suit. But we have seemingly caught a glimpse of the mutant in the recently released promo.

Deadpool & Wolverine, the only MCU release of this year, is burdened with countless responsibilities. The film will reportedly play a crucial role in bringing the mutants to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after we got several cameos of them in previous projects like Doctor Strange 2 and The Marvels.

As per The Hollywood Handle, the fans have spotted Vinnie Jones’ Juggernaut from X-Men: The Last Stand. This was a genuine surprise as the actor recently told Yahoo UK that he turned down Deadpool 3 as his first experience in the role was disappointing.

Vinnie Jones added to Yahoo that it is “a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically”. When the actor joined 20th Century Fox’s X-Men universe, he was excited to work with Matthew Vaughn. Unfortunately, a last-minute change led Brett Ratner to take over the director’s chair and it affected Jones’ role in X-Men: The Last Stand.

Before the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Andrew Garfield pulled off some of his best acting skills to convince the fans of his absence in the film. Eventually, when his web of lies was exposed following No Way Home‘s release, it became hard for fans to believe the Marvel stars. Now it seems like Jones has also learned some tricks from the Hacksaw Ridge star.

Can Juggernaut’s appearance give us some memorable Marvel set pieces?

Following X-Men: The Last Stand, Juggernaut returned in Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool 2. However, this was not the Vinnie Jones version and was voiced and motion-captured by Reynolds. As Deadpool & Wolverine is slated to be a bloodfest goodbye to 20th Century Fox’s universe, it will be exciting to see how Jones’ cameo plays out in the forthcoming film.

In Marvel Comics, Cain Marko got his powers from the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak to become the Juggernaut. The Marvel deity Cyttorak gave a blessing to Juggernaut that made the superhero unstoppable when he catches momentum. If the same element is recreated on-screen, we can get one of the coolest MCU set pieces.

Juggernaut’s power makes him such a formidable character who can even make things difficult for the prime Hulk. Despite the repeated claims by the fans to keep an iconic Hulk vs Wolverine fight in Deadpool 3, Mark Ruffalo is not expected to appear in the film. Nonetheless, fans will love to watch the character going against Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine once again after X-Men 3.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be released on July 26, 2024.
