A viral post on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit has put the spotlight on a major problem that many Helldivers 2 players have come across in the game. The fan asked the community how many times they had been defeated by the Hellpod loading screen. Players often find themselves stuck on this screen due to a bug. Since there’s no fix, players can only resort to humor to cope with it.

The problem can obviously be solved by restarting the game but it breaks momentum and can be very frustrating sometimes. This problem has been around for quite some time as one can find many posts on online forums looking for a fix to this problem but after the recent 1.000.104 patch, it seems like more players are facing this problem.

Another player recently asked Arrowhead to stop allowing players to dive into missions where the extraction is already called in as it wastes time. On the galactic map, players can’t see the progress, so the only way to find out is to enter the mission.

Helldivers 2 was a massive hit when it was first released but it seems like the hype is finally fading away. The competition is stiff and the new content isn’t appealing enough to stop players from uninstalling the game.

The game still has some minor bugs and Arrowhead is constantly working hard to give players the best experience, however, the game desperately needs a major update, especially in terms of weapons, environments, Stratagems, and enemies.

Players hope that the introduction of the Illuminate, the third rumored faction of the game, will bring some new content to the game but till then, the game will continue to lose its fanbase. Evidence has been found in the game’s files but it seems like Arrowhead is waiting for the right time to start Illuminate’s invasion.

There’s another way that will instantly make Helldivers 2 a hit again: an Xbox release as these players have been eagerly waiting to try it out, in fact, a small studio called The Forge Falcons has used Halo Infinite‘s Forge to create a Helldivers-like game within Halo Infinite. Unfortunately, this might never happen as Sony will never let its rivals get their hands on a profitable game like Helldivers 2.
