The Seinen Magazine Monthly publishes Vinland Saga. But sometimes it takes 2-3 months to publish one chapter. So, even if a few chapters are left, it might take a few more years before it actually concludes. It is like Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece. The manga is in its Final Arc, but it might take a few more years before Monkey D. Luffy actually fulfills his dream of becoming the King of the Pirates.
In November 2019, after the release of Vinland Saga‘s 167th chapter, Makoto Yukimura said he would like to wrap up the manga in the upcoming 50 chapters. Following his words, it might take more chapters to conclude the manga. With the current pace, it might take almost a couple of years before Thorfinn finds Valhalla. Ultimately, the ending depends on how fast the mangaka releases the chapters.
Fans Want To See Thorfinn Fulfil His Dream at the End of Vinland Saga
Thorfinn is the main protagonist of the Vinland Saga. His character development throughout the series has been spectacular. The shift from a high-spirited teenager to a calm and composed adult is marvelous. Throughout his adulthood, Thorfinn has always been less-spirited and refrains from choosing violence. Even after creating a masterpiece, Makoto Yukimura’s magnum opus is yet to win its first award at Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
The Weekly Shounen Magazine published Vinland Saga but shifted to the Seinen Magazine Monthly after a few months. The final arc is going on, and the last chapter was 209 on February 25, 2024. It has been a couple of months since the latest chapter was released. So, the next chapter might be right around the corner. It would mean one more step closer to the conclusion.
The fans know that everything must come to an eventually. But they are hopeful that their favorite protagonist will have his wish fulfilled by the mangaka. Even if the manga is over, fans can switch to watching the two seasons of the anime
Vinland Saga is available on K-Manga.
