Helldivers 2 Patch 1.000.400 has been rolled out and hundreds of changes have been made to the game to improve overall gameplay. The update finally patched the popular infinite grenade glitch that many players were abusing on both PC and PlayStation 5. Many bugs were finally fixed but Arrowhead seemed to have missed one of the most overpowered bug exploits in the game: the hug emote.

It is very common for players to share the Shield Generator Pack by executing the hug emote on the battlefield. In the worst-case scenario, players drop an explosive on their location and hug their teammate with a shield pack. Somehow, both of them survive while the hordes of enemies around them get completely wiped out.
Arrowhead forgot to fix this one bug in Helldivers 2

On the official PlayStation website, we can see that Arrowhead Game Studios has fixed over 30 bugs and glitches with the latest patch update for Helldivers 2, including the infinite grenade glitch. However, it seems like Arrowhead forgot to fix a very popular bug that makes 2 players invincible on the battlefield for a brief period.
Using the hug emote, players can share the Shield Generator Pack, saving both of them from explosions no matter how close they are. It seems like Arrowhead couldn’t remove this heartwarming, wholesome bug from the game but players have been using this exploit to wipe out enemies easily. The power of a hug can save players even if they call in a 500KG bomb exactly where they’re standing, wiping out all surrounding enemies but keeping the players safe.
The patch update has fixed many weapons and Stratagems

The much-awaited Patch 1.000.400 also included changes to over 30 weapons and Stratagems in the game that were quite unpopular among the community. Players can find the complete list here and make sure they check out these Stratagems now that they have improved. Apart from the fixes, players also got the Viper Commandos Premium Warbond, a jungle-themed Warbond that allows players to live their Arnold Schwarzenegger fantasies.
Johan Pilestedt, the Chief Creative Officer of Arrowhead Game Studios, dropped a hint about some old/new threats coming to the game in this update, however, players have got nothing so far. It seems like Pilestedt was preparing fans for the Illuminate’s invasion as it has been teased for quite some time now. With the newly formed black hole in Meridia, it would make sense for the Illuminate to kick off their battle against Super Earth right now.
Helldivers 2 is available on Windows and PlayStation 5.
