The online drama mill is back at it again as Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm has been leveled with new, heavy allegations. These new statements come in light of his permanent ban from Twitch in 2020. The sudden ban at the time went unexplained by Twitch and by the streamer himself.
But the public now has some news regarding the matter. Do note that there have been no confirmations as to whether this is true or not. A former Twitch employee came forward on X stating that Dr Disrespect was banned due to inappropriate behavior including a minor.
Dr Disrespect is in The Limelight of New Allegations Regarding His 2020 Twitch Ban
Through a post on the X social media platform, Cody Connors, a former Twitch employee made some heavy allegations. Connors alleged that an unnamed streamer used Twitch’s then-existing whisper feature, to send inappropriate messages to an underage person.
While Connors didn’t mention Dr Disrespect specifically in the post, the recent discussions on the platform regarding the streamer’s ban seem to speculate that this was directed at him. The streamer didn’t take long to respond to the posts that reported this allegation.
Twitch has given no clarity on what the actual reason for the ban in 2020 was. This has led to fans calling for a revelation of information regarding the matter. Even if these allegations are true or false, the situation won’t be settled for the public until the truth is revealed.
Regardless of their validity, these types of accusations and allegations are extremely damaging for any person, especially a public figure.
Dr Disrespect has stated that the matter was legally settled already between him and Twitch. But the community is ablaze now as everyone comes out to voice their opinions.
The Community’s Collective Call For Transparency From Twitch About This Dr Disrespect Situation
The Twitch, and online community have collectively come out to give their own thoughts on the situation. One of the notable statements to come out is from Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau who already mentioned that he knew the reason for Dr Disrespect’s ban back when it happened.
In light of the recent allegations, Slasher made his own cryptic post seemingly referencing his own post from 2020:
The timing of these new accusations and allegations does raise a question. The fact that these statements have only come out now suggests that non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) were in place before.
But now that they have likely expired, the people involved are able to share their experience. Zachary Diaz, another former Twitch employee also made his own statement on X.
Dr Disrespect has already had a brush with controversy before with an incident back in 2019. He was temporarily banned in 2019 for streaming inside a public bathroom at E3. His career has also not been particularly smooth following the 2020 ban if we look at the events in his career since.
This combined with his flamboyant persona and the recent allegations make it a very uncertain matter for the public. Regardless of the truth of everything that’s been said, it’s obvious that all the facts have not been laid out yet.
At this point, only Twitch itself can give the community, and fans the clarity, and information regarding these accusations, and until then, innocent until proven guilty has to be upheld, even if that’s not always the case in the court of public perception.
