Elden Ring, a masterpiece created by Hidetaka Miyazaki is often called to be the very manifestation of what an amazing video game needs to be like. However, the title does not come without its own flaws, which are finally getting called out, especially after the release of its recent Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

While there remains a huge disparity between players, the studio should know something is off-track when another renowned director like David Jaffe, credited with leading the initial God of War games as well the Twisted Metal series points out how your lacks in a certain area.

Through one of his many ways to interact with fans, the popular director took the heat to Hidetaka Miyazaki’s latest release in a live stream yesterday, elaborating how the game lacks in one place, and that it would be great if the studio had the perspective of a player instead.

Looking at an article revealing how Miyazaki finds his own creations to be hard, Jaffe mentioned how Elden Ring puts forward a severe lack of communication between the game and the player, doing a terrible job of making them understand the mechanics put in place.

ELDEN RING Is NOT Too Hard! It's TOO DAMN COMPLICATED!!!

The director also states how Miyazaki ultimately refuses to introduce different difficulties into the game as he already knows every piece of aid that has been provided in the game.

Likewise, putting together a terrible communication system along with a hard-level design that requires players to gather items from different parts of the map can turn out to be a bad idea, something that fans have spoken up against before as well.

From being called out by the director of God of War, to receiving criticism from fans around the world, one thing that many appreciate about FromSoftware is how it manages to remain unhinged, even doubling down on its values in the recent Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

It remains true that the recent DLC has been nothing but a nightmare for some players, rendering their character builds useless against the new bosses. However, it also stays true that this is exactly what FromSoftware is known for, and it won’t be taking a step back anytime soon.

Fortunately, the creators of the game are not monsters, as in a recent patch update, they have increased the amount of buff the player gets after utilizing the Shadow-Tree fragments found all around in the realm of shadow, encouraging players to make use of the same if they hope to stand a chance.

Who was the hardest boss in the latest FromSoftware release according to you? Make sure to let us know about it in the comments below.
