Like every other FromSoft title, Elden Ring has spawned several challenge runs that have kept content creators busy. The DLC guaranteed that those who enjoy watching such streams would have even more feats of determination and skill to witness.

However, not all challenge runs are the same as each other. Going without armor, magic, or summons is already a fairly common challenge for people to take on. But to embark on such a journey without using your hands? It’s the very definition of “git gud.

Accessibility has come a long way in gaming over the past few years. We now have various controller options for people with physical challenges and disabilities. There’s still a long way to go, but the progress made has enabled many thousands of people to indulge in the hobbies of their friends and loved ones.

RockyNoHands is an American video game streamer who is not afraid of taking on a challenge. Paralyzed from the neck down due to spinal cord injury, the streamer plays his games using a QuadStick operated by his mouth. He can control his on-screen actions by breathing into or inhaling from the tubes.

The streamer has previously broken two Guinness World Records in Fortnite for most wins and kills using only his mouth. The creator has also taken on previous FromSoft titles, such as Sekiro, Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring. Now, he is taking on the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and it’s a sight to behold.

Kai Cenat, one of the most popular streamers, made waves when he started his Elden Ring run and then vowed to play the DLC until he beat it. This involved many deaths and even a mid-game therapy session before the streamer succeeded in his endeavor.

However, it seems some fans believe Rocky to be the superior steamer for taking on such a challenge.

The difficulty spike in Shadow of the Erdtree is no joke, and the fact that the Steam reviews sentiment dropped due to it is evidence enough. The studio released a patch for Elden Ring recently that changed the scaling of the Scadutree Blessings to be more effective, allowing players to buff their characters to take on dangers.

However, Rocky enjoys the challenge. The streamer is going through the DLC using no summons, no magic, and no armor either, all while controlling his Tarnished using his mouth. He has also vowed to beat the final boss similarly. The end boss of the DLC has been a barrier for many people, so it will be interesting to see how Rocky manages to take them down.

The studio has created what can only be counted as another game in the form of this expansion. With over ten new bosses, a massive map (for a DLC), and a slew of new weapons and spells to try out, Shadow of the Erdtree could be named, unofficially, the Game of the Year!
