Filoni also revealed on the podcast that Lucasfilm’s door is always open to whenever George Lucas decides to return, stating “He can come right in, he has the pass”. If these two forces teamed up for an R-rated project, a Darth Maul film will be a perfect one.

Darth Maul has been a very underrated and intriguing villain as seen in The Phantom Menace and The Clone Wars. In addition to his menacing look and lust for revenge, he is a formidable warrior who is extremely brutal when it comes to taking down those who wronged him.
