A recent poll was conducted on X where the people were asked to name the best “wrestler-turned-actor”. With names such as John Cena and Dwayne Johnson, Dave Bautista surprisingly emerged on top!
Well, fans seem to state that Dave Bautista is the better actor though he might not have as much commercial success as John Cena and Dwayne Johnson. The result comes not from favoritism but from logical conclusions.

Consider the following case: Dave Bautista portrayed the role of Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. Portraying a comedic role with a traumatic past, Bautista nailed the character and instantly became a fan-favorite.
Finding fame worldwide, Bautista went on to portray in Zack Snyder’s 2021 film Army of the Dead wherein he portrayed a dead-serious role. He later appeared in the Dune franchise and M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller film Knock at the Cabin.
And to top it off, Bautista also became a part of the Knives Out franchise with Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The fact is, Dave Bautista can play a variety of characters and show a plethora of emotions.
On the other hand, John Cena is mostly associated with comedic roles while Dwayne Johnson is known as the adventure guy in Hollywood. Compared to these two, fans can safely assume that Bautista is simply a more versatile actor.
