After the Xbox Showcase as well, Jaffe went all out praising the event. According to him, that event was “FANTASTIC.” Although he had a little doubt if Xbox could deliver all the titles and updates it promised in the showcase, if it does, then he again advised PlayStation to “have a serious conversation about how to compete moving forward.”

Jaffe wasn’t hyping Shadows in the Future without any reason. For the fans who have been waiting for some Shadows updates, this event was huge. First of all, an official gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated title was revealed.

The trailer showed that both protagonists are going to be a lot different in their approaches to progressing through the game.

For example, Yasuke is going to be in full rampage mode, while Naoe is going to be a stealth killer. Yasuke will be honing his samurai legacy through direct confrontation with enemies, wearing junky armor and gear. On the other hand, Lady Shinobi will be a silent killer, without any traces, within the blink of an eye.

Another exciting feature of the game will be the dynamic weather system. And according to the Vice President and Executive Producer of the franchise, here’s how this new feature is going to level up your gameplay:

“You can revisit a location in the winter or in the summer, and in the summer it’s lush. There’s going to be loads of places to hide—you can go prone in the tall grass, that sort of thing—and enemies won’t see you coming. But then, if you go back and it’s winter?”
