Kevin Costner made sure to impeccably embody and bring to life the character of John Dutton from the Yellowstone universe for a stunning five years, never ceasing to win fans’ hearts with his outstanding performances.

But it seems that era has come to an end, and John has to go, considering how the actor has already decided to leave the franchise.

However, while there is a lot of chaotic drama surrounding his exit with who the good guy is and who is the bad guy between (mostly) him and Taylor Sheridan due to their reported feud, things seem to have been quite different in truth.

This comes after Costner shed light on his humble outlook on the series going on without him — something that is inevitably making Sheridan look like the bad guy.

Kevin Costner Has a Humble Take on Yellowstone Continuing Without Him

As fans are already aware, there has been a lot of messy drama surrounding Costner and Sheridan following their alleged feud that led to the John Dutton portrayer reportedly leaving the saga. That said, a lot of blame fingers have been pointed as well, on both the masterminds.

However, after the Dances with Wolves actor’s latest updates on this drama, fans can’t help but feel he might not be the bad guy after all. This comes after the actor shared his hot take on Yellowstone continuing without him during his recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

In a candid moment during this interview, he was asked if he feels the series would continue to go on to shake the world without him. And the actor had the most sincere answer, honest to the core. Shedding light on his opinion on this matter, Kevin Costner said:

I do… I really do believe it [the show would go on without me]. I’m not sure, but I never take the position, ‘Oh, well here’s my leverage. The show’s no good without me.’ I don’t believe that for a f—ing second. I believe it would be different.

That said, it becomes evidently believable that the one to blame for all of these ugly turn of events in the behind-the-scenes of the blockbuster series isn’t quite Costner, considering how he is even humble enough to claim that the show would continue to ace it even without him.

However, at the same time, this shining outlook along with the demands the actor had to stay are all also making one other person seem like the bad guy: Taylor Sheridan.

While Costner has unarguably managed to win hearts with this hotly humble take of his on the smash-hit series, meanwhile, his shining outlook is making showrunner Sheridan sound like he’s the bad guy. In fact, the actor’s demands regarding the same are further adding fuel to this fire.

During the same interview, The Bodyguard actor continued to share the incredibly simple demands he had to stay as a part of this blockbuster Paramount series, saying:

I guess I could be in it again if the planets wanted to line up, which means the storyline, the scripts. And then I want to work more than once a year. To do that, the times have to be set aside for things. When that couldn’t happen, then that can’t work for me anymore.

Needless to say, Costner has the most reasonable demands pretty much any person would ask for if they wish to properly distribute their time among their respective personal plans as well. That said, this is inevitably making Sheridan seem bad as well due to the same reasons.

All in all, this drama seems to be getting messier with each passing day, with every new update opening a whole another window to a different set of perspectives, honest opinions, and hot takes that are further making it hard for fans to predict the future of one of their favorite Western shows of all time.
