According to the report, the film takes place in a world where humans and zombies co-exist and will have a similar tone to the Zombieland films. This is another bold film for Gosling to take on as he has never played or participated in a zombie-related project before.

The actor is currently shooting for the sci-fi film Project Hail Mary where he stars alongside Anatomy of a Fall‘s Sandra Hüller. The film is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and is based on the 2021 novel of the same name by Andy Weir.
