His Supernatural costar Jensen Ackles already joined on board, so it’s only a matter of time before fans formally welcome the actor to the show. Even Kripke teased the possibility of bringing Padalecki into the franchise.

Jared Padalecki Teases Potential Reunion With Eric Kripke And Jensen Ackles

In his interview with Variety, actor Jared Padalecki responded to the speculation that he is joining Jensen Ackles in Eric Kripke’s The Boys and also confirmed that he loved working with the series creator.

It’s not been written yet, but I think he was saying [the final season] doesn’t even film until 2025. So yeah, I’m going to go play in Kripke’s newest playground. I had a great time the first time around, so I’m sure I’ll have a great time here again. I love the show. I think it’s hilarious and exciting.

Padalecki and Kripke worked together in Supernatural. The show ran for 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020. While the actor had a great collaboration with Kripke, it’s not the only reason he loves working with him.

Obviously, I’ll be indebted to [Kripke] and entangled with him forever. I met my wife because of him. I was Sam Winchester because of him. ‘Supernatural’ happened because of him. So working with him on a show that I enjoy, I’m like, ‘Yeah, when do I fly out?’

It would take some time before Padalecki makes his official appearance in the beloved series, and Kripke remarked that it’s only fair for fans to assume he will include the actor in his project.

They have also both revealed that their schedules have finally lined up, which means there is indeed room to work on this character that will possibly become Padalecki’s superhero persona.

The Boys Showrunner Is Yet To Design A Role For Jared Padalecki

Eric Kripke spoke with Entertainment Weekly to clarify Padalecki’s involvement in The Boys.

I don’t have the role for him yet just because we haven’t cooked it up. We’re still really early in the Season 5 break, but it does seem like the planets are aligning.

With this hopeful statement, fans can certainly feel that the Supernatural star is truly inching closer to working with Ackles again on screen. “Barring any unforeseen disaster, it seems like it’ll happen,” Kripke warned, though.

He still has no idea what character he will create for Padalecki or which episodes he will appear in. Perhaps he is being cautious in keeping fans’ hopes up too high, but at the same time, prepping them for more stories ahead.

Looking at the bigger picture, it seems like nothing is hindering Padalecki’s potential involvement in the show. All fans can do for now is sit back and enjoy the latest episodes of The Boys, now showing on Prime Video.
