However, it seems that instead of ogling the game’s Collector’s Edition, a specific deluxe edition of Alan Wake 2 has captured the fan base’s undivided attention. The disappointing catch is that it’s locked exclusively to the UK, leaving the rest of the world cold and starved.

Alan Wake 2’s UK Fans Get an Exclusive Deluxe Edition of the Game

Ever since Alan Wake 2 first came out, fans have been demanding a physical edition of the game.

Rejoice, fans of Alan Wake 2, who are based in the UK. After the announcement that the game will finally come in physical copies, a few on the internet discovered that Game UK has seemingly and sneakily snagged a deal with Remedy to give out Wake’s Cardboard Standee, standing at 29.5cm in height with Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition. A pretty sweet way to jump into the Night Springs expansion, too.

Given how prominently featured these cutouts are in both the games, it makes sense that while the discovery brought joy and excitement for the folks in the UK, the rest of the world isn’t sharing in on the fun due to exclusivity.

As fate would have it, people are preferring this edition over the Collector’s Edition:

Anyone who may have played the game will understand that Alan’s cutouts represent his low self-image and the pressure he feels as a successful writer suffering from a block while being simultaneously used to taunt his trapped state in the spiraling nightmare of the Dark Place. So, given the context, it is a bit of a shame that fans of Alan Wake 2 cannot share such unique memorabilia of the game globally.

Despite the Recent Wins, Alan Wake 2’s Future Remains Shrouded in Mystery

Alan Wake 2 has opened the series to endless new stories and possibilities, as proven by Night Springs.

Right now, there is much speculation on what’s next with Alan Wake 2 and the connected universe as a whole. While the game’s narrative received widespread acclaim for its completeness, many remain eager to explore additional story expansions that could further the game’s delicate yet masterfully woven plot.

There’s also the question of whether there is a future for this series in the first place. With the game’s sales reportedly underwhelming, unless the physical edition nets the game a few more numbers or Epic decides to bring the game to Steam, the series’ future may remain uncertain for now.

For now, however, it is best to enjoy the masterpiece that we got from the geniuses over at Remedy. With Night Springs expansion doubling down on the crazier side of Alan Wake 2, the future isn’t as bleak as it may initially seem, after all.
