While they may have walked their separate ways and are with different people now, certain circumstances lead to one being reminded of the other, as seen in an Instagram live conducted by Bieber.
During this Instagram live, Bieber encountered a fan who looked like Gomez and even had a very similar voice to her. Bieber was surprised and even asked the fan if they had met before. The Baby singer tells her that she has a familiar face with someone he knows. The fan’s voice is astonishingly the same as Gomez and it’s understandable why Bieber was taken aback for a while (via YouTube).
Fans were also shocked by the fan’s voice and its uncanny resemblance to Gomez. One fan @graceperreault6198 wrote “its almost creepy how much she sound like Selena, especially when she said ‘awe that’s fun'”. Another fan @naayaa_samara9479 pointed out that Bieber was instantly reminded of Gomez when the woman started speaking, writing “His ‘damn it’ said it all”. Fans were clearly blown away by this whole encounter just as Bieber.
Before their break-up, Bieber and Gomez were one celebrity couple that fans were obsessed with. Bieber is now married to Hailey Bieber since 2018 and are expecting their first child together. Gomez on the other hand, is currently dating American record producer Benny Blanco.

Selena Gomez‘s acting career has been on the rise in recent years, with her role as Mabel in Only Murders in The Building, being nominated for various awards. The actress along with her castmates from the upcoming musical crime drama film Emilia Pérez, won Best Actress at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
Gomez talked to Variety about the film which has received great reviews at its Cannes premiere. The actress revealed that the music in the film was different from her usual style and it felt grand, open, and big. She enjoyed working with French singer Camille for the music in the film and explored a new style of singing. Gomez said,
It’s beautiful. It’s beautiful timing for this film. I loved it. The music wasn’t what I was used to; it felt grand, open, and big, which was new for me. Working with Camille, her husband, and their whole family, including their little daughter, was fun. I enjoyed myself and explored a style of singing I had never done before.
In addition to Gomez, Emilia Pérez also stars Zoe Saldaña, Karla Sofía Gascón, Adriana Paz, and Édgar Ramírez. The film currently has an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Netflix recently acquired distribution rights for the film while a release date has not been set.
