Karl Urban Expresses Hopes of Reprising His Star Trek Role in the Future

Since appearing in 2013’s Star Trek Beyond, Urban has remained away from the Star Trek franchise that first brought him into the limelight. In a 2022 interview, Urban spoke about his desire to return to the franchise and reprise his role as McCoy. The actor said (via ComicBook.com):

All I know is they are developing it, they’re writing a script, and I know one hundred percent that we all want to come back and do it. So I think it’s all just a matter of logistics and timing at this point.

Urban’s words hint at a strong desire on the actor’s part to return to the sci-fi franchise. He is currently featuring in the fourth season of The Boys, which recently made its debut, receiving glowing reviews from critics and fans alike.
