I just wanna reach out and let you know that after this long, a year and a half of working on Horizon, doing all the things that’s required, and thinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love, that I know you love, I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue Season 5 or into the future.

He acknowledged how much fans loved the show and how it became a massive part of his career since its debut in 2018. Now, the actor expects fans to go and see his new film, Horizon: An American Saga in theaters.

It was something that really changed me. I loved it, and I know you loved it, and I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning, and I love the relationship we’ve been able to develop, and I’ll see you at the movies.

Even though he’s not reprising his role in Yellowstone, fans can still follow Costner in his upcoming four-part epic Western film, which he directed, wrote, and starred in.

Everyone who will miss Costner in Yellowstone won’t have to feel sad anymore. The first and second installments of the Horizon saga will be released this summer with just a few weeks in between their scheduled dates!

Kevin Costner Feels Confident About Horizon’s Success

Kevin Costner revealed via CNN that Horizon: An American Saga will not run for three hours. “It’s two hours and fifty-one minutes. Let’s be really clear about that,” he quipped. The actor has been profusely promoting his new project that he financed himself.

I make movies for people so that they won’t be bored. I give them a taste of something in a different direction, which is probably why it’s hard for me to get them made at first ‘cause they’re a little different.

The Dances with Wolves director is quite confident that his original film will become successful. He previously told Fandango that “Horizon 1 will be something that people want to see so that’s why I made two.”

He’s clearly passionate about this upcoming movie saga which he also revealed has been brewing since the ‘80s.
