Naraka: Bladepoint is one of the most unique battle royales to date. The game was first released for PC in August 2021, however, ports of the title for PlayStation and Xbox were released afterward.
Since the launch of the title, it has sold more than 6 million copies. But currently, the game is facing huge issues with concurrent player counts, as they are reducing day by day. And the penalties for some users’ behaviors are not as serious as they should be.
Naraka: Bladepoint Doesn’t Punish Players Enough for Idling and Throwing Off Games
Nowadays, ratings, Elo points, class, tiers, and much more has become a big aspect of the gaming world. Players have to sit tight and fight till the match ends to get the highest rating points.
And in battle royale titles like Bladepoint, staying untill the very end is the key. However, unlike other games, this 24 Entertainment title doesn’t ban you for being idle or throwing matches. There are other complaints from players as well regarding the game, so this is just the start. It still deducts some scores, but it is quite negligible.
That is why a fan has shared their grievance over this concern on Reddit. They stated that leaving or idling a Capture Spirit match in Bladepoint causes a minimal score deduction. Even if someone repeats this, nothing significant happens as well.
The punishment for idling and throwing off games is negligible in this game:

On the other hand, games like Valorant, Call of Duty, Fortnite, and PUBG will penalize you heavily if you keep yourself idle or leave a match repeatedly. For example, in Valorant, if you remain AFK for one round, you won’t be able to play the next round. If you leave the match midway on multiple occasions, a rating point deduction is obvious and you might even face a ban for a short period as well.
The Effect on Naraka: Bladepoint for the Absence of Strict Action Against Throwers
When a game is not strict with idle players, then the vibe of the game dies. And that is exactly what is happening with Bladepoint, as the game is constantly losing players.
Suppose you, being a passionate player, enter a match and one of your teammates leaves the match midway through. It will seriously affect your team’s balance and gameplay, making it weak and eventually losing the match. This effectively gets the serious players frustrated and makes them leave the game forever.
Now, if 24 Entertainment takes a stand and starts penalizing players heavily for idling and throwing matches, then the occurrence of throwing matches will reduce hugely. This initiative will then hopefully once again regain the serious momentum of the game.
Now, it’s up to 24 Entertainment to fight back against the situation of reducing player counts. What do you think? Will Naraka: Bladepoint ever get back to its lost place? Let us know in the comment section below.
