Helldivers 2 is increasingly getting difficult with every update, and it won’t be long until the Arrowhead team drops a surprise bomb with a bunch of new and difficult enemies to tackle.
Before we get to that point, though, the developers must implement some kind of system to help newbies get over the game’s steep learning curve. And one Redditor knows exactly how.
Helldivers 2 Can Be Hard for New Players

You wouldn’t be the first or last player if you had a rough time after starting Helldivers 2. There’s a lot you need to learn after picking up the game, as it’s not as simple as dropping into a mission, killing everything in sight, tea-bagging the carcasses of your enemies, and moving on.
There’s no doubt that some players left the game early on before it clicked because of this learning curve. It’s hard when you have so many things to learn, and even harder when you do it yourself.
Plus, it’s no secret that the game will add new enemy factions to face off soon. We need all the hands we can get to get through this successfully unless we want to see more news of failed Major Orders.
New Stratagem Idea

For this reason, one Redditor has come up with an idea that could be the exact thing this game needs to support its newer players and help them interact with some experienced ones too. OP proposes a new Stratagem for Helldivers 2 players lower than rank 40, called the ‘Super-SOS.’
The Super-SOS Stratagem Will Bring Players Together
![An in-game screenshot of Helldivers 2.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/03163414/helldivers-2-1-1-1024x576.jpg)
Anyone above the rank requirement would join a ‘Super-Queue’ for the Super-SOS. Essentially, you’d be able to call in another high-ranking Helldiver into your mission.
Helldivers who decide to queue for this will receive rewards based on how many successful extractions they assist with.
OP suggests ‘useless’ rewards like changing your equipment colors back to default or being able to unlock a perk that gives you a chance to get one extra bullet in the last magazine of your weapon.
These might not be enough to incentivize players to participate in this queue, but it’s a start. Perhaps, some substantial rewards that aren’t overpowered or essential to progress in the game will draw players in.
While OP’s proposition might not be completely plausible, it’s great to see a fellow player concerned about newer recruits. In a co-op shooter like Helldivers 2, communicating with your teammates is essential. Playing with your friends is your best bet, but not everyone has people they can play with. Arrowhead can change this.
If Arrowhead can devise a system that will encourage high-rank players to help out their low-rank, it’ll bring together the community even more than it already is.
Do you think Helldivers 2 is too hard for newer recruits, or is OP suggesting a solution for a non-issue? We’d love to hear your opinions on this matter in the comments below!
