The Five Elders are proving to be more and more menacing with each chapter. Their terrifying abilities are something that has never been seen before in One Piece, and if Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are not able to deal with them soon, the most powerful authority in the World Government might wipe the floor with the newest Yonko group.

However, the Straw Hat Pirates have one man who has vowed to never be defeated until Luffy becomes the King of the Pirates. And this man is none other than Roronoa Zoro, the swordsman of the crew. Zoro has proved time and time again that he is one of the strongest characters in the series.

Also, looking at Zoro’s power growth over the last few arcs, it is safe to say that Zoro might hold the key to defeating Gorosei in the final saga. However, his main strength that could prove to be helpful is his unique Conqueror’s Haki, which takes the form of the Demon Asura.

Zoro’s Demonic Asura Form

The swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates is the physical embodiment of hard work and loyalty towards his goal (to become the strongest swordsman in the world) and his captain, Monkey D. Luffy. He is the only character in the entire series who uses three swords and has the guts to challenge the strongest characters without a glimpse of fear.

Because of his three swords, he has a large array of attacks that can be useful in battle, but his strongest attack is Nine Sword Style, which creates an illusion of Zoro and his two additional bodies combined together, forming the mythological demonic figure Asura. This terrifying ability was first seen during the Enies Lobby arc when he was fighting Kaku.

As the One Piece story progressed, Zoro evolved his Asura form and mastered it more proficiently. However, he only used it to a certain extent, as the demonic form took a toll on his body and would tire him out easily. The power of Asura is so terrifying that it even startled Kaido, the captain of the Beast Pirates and the strongest creature in the world.

Zoro’s Asura is the Answer to Defeating the Gorosei

When Zoro first used Asura against Kaido, the former Emperor of the Sea revealed that Zoro’s demonic form stemmed from Conqueror’s Haki. This was a unique trait, as Conqueror’s Haki has never taken a physical form in One Piece. Therefore, it can be stated that Zoro’s Conqueror’s Haki could be an advanced physical form that is distinctive only to Zoro.

Additionally, Zoro has been deemed the King of Hell. This unique moniker combined with the demon Asura makes Zoro’s powers a dark manifestation of his Haki. This has never been seen before in One Piece. Therefore, there is a chance that Zoro’s unique powers might be able to tackle the Gorosei’s abilities.

The Five Elders also have strange powers, which are manifestations of their Yokai forms. They are also quite terrifying and have never been seen before in One Piece. Thus, Zoro could be the one to take down Gorosei, as he has already started by launching a full-blown attack on Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro in One Piece chapter 1117.
