Elden Ring’s long-awaited DLC Shadow of the Erdtree has been out for days now and fans have had a blast exploring the Land of Shadow. The expansion has impressed fans and critics alike and the reviews have extraordinary.
As most Elden Ring fans are now done with the expansion, they are looking for another Soulslike title. One fan has suggested the better alternative for the game and it is one of the best Souls experiences ever created.
Elden Ring Fans Suggest Playing Lies of P
Shadow of the Erdtree expansion released on June 21 and has been praised for its new locations, enemy designs, and taunting difficulty. While the difficulty was a problem for some as they complained and even review bombed the DLC, many have called it as the best part of the DLC.
Players have now finished the DLC and one fan has suggested them to try out Lies of P from Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio if they are unsure about what to play next. The fan recommended the game to the player calling it “one of the best Soulslikes ever made!”

The game was released in September 2023 and the story of the game is adapted from Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio and presented in the form of a dark and mysterious tale of survival in the fictional city of Krat. The story follows Pinocchio across the city of Krat and as he takes on evil Puppets.
There have been some who did not like a narrative and gameplay at some points of the game but the majority have only praised it. The stunning visuals and beautiful sound design and the perfect use of Soulslike elements make it one of the best Soulslike titles.
Lies of P Has Much More Coming Fans’ Way
The developers have already said that the game will be getting a DLC as well as a sequel. The DLC is scheduled to release in the second half of 2024 but is still without an exact launch date. The DLC is expected to bring characters from The Wizard of Oz to the game but nothing can be confirmed as of now.
Fans have said that it is an underrated game and every Soulslike fan should play it. One player said that Lies of P is the “rare case” when a non-FromSoftware developer achieves FromSoftware standards. Another fan said that it’s one of their best titles from 2023 and they are waiting for the DLC.

Although some have said that the replay value of the game isn’t so well, they have enjoyed playing the game. One player called it “easily the best Soulslike I’ve ever played,” praising the game’s story, build options, and weapon system.
