There is a lot of anticipation for Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws but many players are convinced that it will be just another Ubisoft game with a weak narrative and hefty price tag. Last year, Ubisoft faced an operating loss of roughly half a million Euros, this certainly explains why Star Wars Outlaws has been priced on the higher side, however, fans are certain that the game will be available at a discounted price shortly after the release.

Popular YouTuber JorRaptor recently got the opportunity to try out Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws for 2 hours and he has revealed some interesting information about the game. The primary focus is on the game’s engaging open-world, outfits, environment, equipment, and shooting, fans can check out the complete list in his latest X post. Even JorRaptor has pointed out that the linear single-player isn’t really special. Even in his YouTube video, he explained that it felt like Ubisoft was holding back a lot of things.

Many players are convinced that Star Wars Outlaws will be very similar to the Far Cry series in many ways. Despite being a Star Wars game, many believe that they haven’t done much to make sure the game stands out.

Without a doubt, one of the main reasons why this game is getting so much attention is because it is the first open-world Star Wars game, allowing players to traverse open-world environments on planets from the iconic franchise and in space while engaging in various activities.

As per a report from BNNBloomberg, Ubisoft revealed in January 2023 that the company expected an operating loss of €500 million. As per another Reuters report from May 2023, Ubisoft revealed a full-year non-IFRS operating loss of €500.2 million ($550.6 million), which was mostly from game cancellations and delays.

Ubisoft had a terrible financial year and the success of Star Wars Outlaws will determine the company’s future. This also explains why Star Wars Outlaws has a hefty price tag.

Three different editions: Standard, Gold, and Ultimate are available for pre-ordering at the price of $69.99, $109.99, and $129.99 respectively. At this price point, players really hope that the game has some replay value.
