Naughty Dog Knows When and Where to Put Easter Eggs in The Last of Us
Naughty Dog has developed countless video games over the years and the team is proud of its history and threw in hidden references for players to discover. It wasn’t long ago when the team celebrated the fourth anniversary of The Last of Us Part 2 and director Neil Druckmann hinted at the possibility of a third adventure.
The gaming community loves hunting for references, and fans found the Sic Parvis Magna ring that Nathan Drake wore around his neck in the Uncharted franchise in one of the optional areas of the highly acclaimed sequel. It is one of the many easter eggs the developers have sprinkled around its games.

The developers were not subtle and reused the same room from Drake’s Deception and added it into The Last of Us with a slightly tweaked visual feel. It is worth noting that both of these games were developed simultaneously and the studio borrowed the same assets for fun.
The developers are experts in this craft, and other studios like Team Asobi perfectly recreated the toy gun Nathan used in the earlier sections of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End which took the crown of the best easter egg for Astro Bot. Perhaps there are more well-hidden references that fans have not discovered yet.
