Soon after the rumor of her appearance circulated, the fans asserted that Ahsoka Season 2 may give us one of the nastiest live-action fight sequences in the Star Wars universe as Luke Skywalker already defeated Abeloth in Star Wars Legends.

Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson, came out as the latest entry in Star Wars’ Mandoverse and continues the story of Ahsoka Tano after the events of The Mandalorian Season 3. The series centered on Tano, Sabine Wren, and others from Star Wars: Rebels to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn from uniting the remnants of the Galactic Empire against the New Republic.

While the Star Wars films and series have been big hits, the franchise started by George Lucas also has a Star Wars Legends universe (formerly known as Expanded Universe) focusing on the background stories. There are several novels, comics, video games, and toys under the Legends banner. Abeloth’s storyline is one of the most unique elements in the Legends continuity.

Abeloth was introduced as a mere mortal until she joined the Force gods of Mortis. She joined the trio known as the Father, the Son, and the Daughter. Abeloth joined to maintain peace between the Son and the Daughter as the Mother. To transcend her human body, when Abeloth drank from the Font of Power and bathed in the Pool of Knowledge, she became corrupted and transformed into a malevolent and horrendous beast.

She was eventually captured by the Father in the Maw Cluster until the three Gods died in The Clone Wars Season 3. Following that, she drove several Jedi insane and lured them into the Maw Cluster. Recently, trusted insider Daniel Richtman stated that she may appear in Ahsoka Season 2.

From the visual representation itself, Abeloth looks like someone straight out of a Lovecraftian horror story. Although Richtman’s scoop must be taken with a pinch of salt, the fans are going insane over it.

Ahsoka Season 1 already gave us a hint about the malevolent creature’s live-action debut with the cliffhanger of a mysterious entity being hunted by Baylan Skoll in Peridea. Even the statues of the Mortis trio were shown in the Rosario Dawson show.

The fans expect an intense Luke Skywalker vs Abeloth scene

From her appearance to her feats, Abeloth completely changes the tone of Star Wars. Even the Grand Master Luke Skywalker along with Sith Lord Darth Krayt had to go through an intense battle to defeat her in Fate of the Jedi: Apocalypse.

Now as the rumors about Abeloth have conquered the internet, the fans expect a live-action reimagining of Star Wars Legends. It will be a visual treat for everyone if we get to see a memorable duel between Mark Hamill‘s Luke Skywalker and the entity.

Several fans believe that this storyline has immense potential and can be one of the best products ever if Disney does justice to the source material. Many audiences want the studio to go full-on and make a creepy, non-kid-friendly version of the character.

Almost everybody agrees that The Mother has the potential to be one of the best Star Wars villains. Interestingly, some also want to see her being set up as the big bad of a new saga which will be concluded in a full-fledged film. With the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu movie in the works, it may be a possibility that Abeloth is set as the Thanos of this saga.

Everything Star Wars can be streamed on Disney+.
