Vinland Saga is a fan-favorite anime and manga series that has amazed readers for decades. Even the creator of the series, Makoto Yukimura, has recently surprised fans by revealing that he has assigned real-life birthdays to the vast cast of the series.
Set in the 11th century, Vinland Saga follows our main characters, Thorfinn Karlsefni and King Canute, among many other memorable characters. Our characters navigate a world that needs to be united, conquered, or left to bloom on its own.
The series concluded its acclaimed season two in June 2023, however, the manga continues to amaze readers, with more than 200 chapters already published over the last 19 years.

Makoto Yukimura, the creator of the popular anime and manga series, Vinland Saga, always appreciates the work of other manga artists in the industry, and most of the time simply enjoys them as a fan.

One prominent example is his admiration for Hirohiko Araki‘s iconic JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. In a recent Twitter post, Yukimura shared something very interesting.
He said,
“I have the JoJo anime playing all the time while I work.”
In addition to this, he has even shown his excitement for the future story of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure saying,
“I wonder if the invisible baby who was adopted by Joseph will not appear again. Since he is adopted, he will call himself Joestar. I wonder if he can become the main character of Part 10.”
It’s always interesting to see the creative connections and mutual appreciation between popular artists in the manga industry. In addition to this, we can’t really blame Yukimura for his JoJo obsession as the series is simply that amazing.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of the most amazing series and its third season, Diamond is Unbreakable, takes a more grounded, slice-of-life approach.
Although it introduces a lot of major characters in the JoJo universe, some have gained disproportionate popularity in the story without even fully developing their true potential.
The story explores the complexities of invisibility, acted out by the invisible baby Stand user, known as Achtung Baby.
Later, Joseph Joestar’s decision to adopt the baby, now named Shizuka Joestar, turns out to be one of the most heartwarming and emotional moments for the fans as Joseph and his son, Josuke, dearly love children.
However, Shizuka Joestar largely fades into the background and leaves the impression of an interesting concept that is not fully explored in the story. That is why Vinland Saga‘s creator, Makoto Yukimura, wondered if Shizuka would not appear again.
