According to the organization’s website, Hollywood Unlocked was founded by actor Jason Lee to honor achievers from the Black community, who have been ‘trailblazers’ in various domains. Previous winners in the awards have been prominent celebrities such as Floyd Mayweather, Whoopi Goldberg, and Chlöe Bailey among others.

Majors will reportedly be attending the show along with fellow honorees Cardi B, who will be awarded the Inspiration Award, as well as rapper Fat Joe, who will be honored with the Culture Award. This is the fourth annual event of the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards.
