Satoru Nii’s manga series Wind Breaker recently got an anime adaptation, and the series became a success just after a few episodes of its first season. The series is being produced by CloverWorks, and the first episode will debut on April 5, 2024. The series has only released 5 episodes, and it has been titled one of the best anime series of spring 2024.
The story of Wind Breaker follows the adventures of Haruka Sakura, who has a knack for fighting and aims to become the strongest fighter at Furin High School, a new school that he recently joined. However, he soon finds out that the delinquents in the school are not just brawny students but the protectors of the town.
The series has made quite a lot of noise because of its unique storyline, and a fresh batch of characters making fans fall in love with the series. They have gone so far as to proclaim it the superior version of Tokyo Revengers, another anime and manga series about delinquent students.
Wind Breaker Might Just Be The Best Anime Series of Spring 2024
In just a month, the Wind Breaker anime has amassed quite a decent fan following that is loving the series! Directed by Toshifumi Akai and produced by Yuuichi Fukushima, Wind Breaker is a combination of humor, fighting, intriguing narrative, brilliantly written characters, and a great animation style.
The series offers a new take on delinquent students who know nothing but fighting by giving them a bigger purpose than just high school brawls. Even the protagonist, Sakura, does not only want to fight for the fun of it but also to make a place for himself in the society that has outcasted him because of his unique looks.
The first season ideally contains 12 episodes, but the series has only released five episodes as of yet. The sixth episode is scheduled to be released on May 10, 2024. Getting such huge recognition from the fandom in just five episodes is quite a big deal for any anime series, and it proves that Wind Breaker is on the right path.
