After watching five episodes of The Boys Season 4 on Prime Video, fans wish they could unsee a couple of scenes from the series. When series stars Laz Alonso and Jack Qupaid appeared at the 2023 Toronto Comic-Con, they revealed their disgust at some of the scenes. Alonso, who played Mother’s Milk, shared his experience of shooting one of the most disgusting and shocking scenes. Alonso shared how he was unable to contain himself during the scene, breaking the character.

He revealed that it was the first time in his career that he broke the character. He noted, “First time in my life, not on this show, in my life, where I broke character and screamed” (via Instagram). However, not everyone perceived Alonso’s scream as one of disgust. Quaid shared, “And I was like, Laz is going for in this take.”

Alonso shared that the scene came out of the blue for him, and he was out of character at that point. When he asked if they were going to use this shot, no one called cut on the scene. Alonso revealed that he had to keep going. He shared at the Toronto Comic-Con:

And then it caught me so off guard, I started… I was out of character at that point and I’m like, ‘You guys aren’t gonna use this take right?’ and nobody yelled cut, so I had to get back in character and keep going and it was f*cked up…

There were quite a few scenes in the five episodes of The Boys that could’ve evoked Alonso’s reaction. From Homelander’s mad violence to one horrifying s*xual scene from Rob Benedict, these five episodes had it all. However, fans are expecting more horrifying scenes in the final 3 episodes of this season.

During the Toronto Comic-Con, it was Jack Quaid who first addressed a particular scene that made him turn away. After playing Hughie Campbell for three seasons, Quaid shared that he was pretty good with blood, gore, and all the messed up stuff in the series.

But he was clearly not ready for one particular scene as it proved too much for the actor. Quaid shared:

There was a scene that we shot this season, where I found my line… uh, where I was like ‘ooh this is too much for me’. And I actually had a moment watching it and I actually had to like — usually I’m pretty good with you know blood and gore and all the mess up stuff we do — but this season… and it usually never happens to me, but I was like ‘whooop, nope, nope’, I turned away. So get ready for that.

Alonso also recalled that the special effects supervisor of The Boys, Stephan Fleet, took to X to reveal the disgusting nature of the scene. Fleet shared that he had seen the most disgusting thing in the business so far.

Episode 6 of The Boys Season 4 will be released on July 4 on Amazon Prime Video.
