As per the reports, Gege Akutami, the author and creator of Jujutsu Kaisen allowed the character of Mahito to go crazy and inflict physical, mental, or emotional damage to his opponents (case in point, Gojo Saturo). On the other hand, Kōhei Horikoshi, the writer and illustrator of My Hero Academia has set a certain boundary for the character of Shigaraki. Shigaraki is held back by the author so that he doesn’t do any kind of long-lasting damage to anyone deemed important (aka plot armor?).

Within these set rules of inflicting damage upon others, Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen is the clear winner as the character has already fought with Gojo Saturo numerous times and has often emerged victorious.
