Superheroes have become a staple part of our pop-culture diet over the last decade. Though the movies and the subsequent superhero genre made comic books much more popular, superheroes have been existing for almost eight decades now. While individual superheroes were starting to garner their own fanbase, DC introduced the first superhero team with its Justice Society of America back in 1941. Since then, the concept of superhero teams has gained much popularity, quite notably with some renowned Marvel teams too.
In the Silver Age of Comics, the number of superhero teams increased rapidly in both DC and Marvel comics. While DC Comics has Justice League as its top-tier superhero team, Marvel has got the Avengers. As the superhero movie genre has been dominating the box-office for a few years now, superhero teams are once again back to the spotlight. 7. Dark Avengers
Similar to the Thunderbolts, the Dark Avengers masqueraded themselves as superheroes. Led by Norman Osborn, the Dark Avengers have some powerhouses of the Marvel universe.
