Khal Drogo, played by Jason Momoa, was one of the most intense characters from Game of Thrones the most successful series of all time. Often referred to as the Great Khal, Drogo was the warlord of the Dothraki, famed nomadic horse-lords of the eastern continent beyond the Narrow Sea. While there was much to portray about Drogo as the series proceeded to its phenomenon, Game of Thrones didn’t hesitate to kill the fierce warrior way too soon.

As Daenerys Targaryen’s first lover was killed, fans have still not recovered from the shocking demise, and of them is Jason Momoa’s best pal, Channing Tatum. The actor revealed on an episode of Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector test that he didn’t like that his friend died too soon in the HBO hit series.

Channing Tatum Is Khal Drogo’s Greatest Admirer

During an appearance on Vanity Fair’s infamous Lie Detector test, Channing Tatum, who is best friends with  Jason Momoa revealed that he was pissed by how early the fierce warrior’s character died in Game of Thrones.

When asked if Khal Drogo would have made Game of Thrones better, the Hail, Ceaser! the actor replied, “100%. I was pissed when he died. I wanted to see him lead an army and do the whole thing.”

He was then asked, if he skipped House of The Dragon out of his loyalty for Jason, Channing Tatum laughed, and said, “No, I wasn’t that loyal. I liked House of The Dragon. It was fine, it was good.” In the hit series, Khal Drogo was poisoned by Mirri Maz Duur, while she was cleaning his wounds. That was the last time anyone saw Daenerys Targaryen plead for mercy!

Channing Tatum Dated Jason Momoa’s Stepdaughter

A major reason behind Jason Momoa and Channing Tatum’s close friendship is that the Logan Lucky actor dated his stepdaughter, Zoe Kravitz while Momoa was married to Lisa Bonet. The two stars ended up becoming best friends during this time.

Tatum started dating Kravitz in 2020, soon after his divorce from Karl Glusman. Their relationship was confirmed by a source, who stated that their relationship started out as a “friendship and eventually turned out to be more.”
