While all heroes have their villains, sometimes our resident heroes can’t see eye to eye as well. These are some superhero rivalries fans would love to see enacted in the movies.

Batman & The Huntress

The Huntress’ real name is Helena Bertinelli, the daughter of the head of the Bertinelli Crime Family. After being orphaned, she became a vigilante and soon joined the Bat Family to fight crime. Batman regularly lambasts the Huntress because of her tendency to use ultra-violent methods. The Huntress keeps doing it over and over again. They have clashed over their difference in ideologies many times.

Daredevil & The Punisher

Their rivalry is based on their way they dish out justice. Matt Murdock believes in the system while Frank Castle believes the system is trash. While Daredevil tries to apprehend criminals by upholding the law as much as possible, the Punisher believes in the law of the jungle.

Green Arrow & Green Lantern

Green Arrow 7 Green Lantern are a rival match made in heaven. Oliver Queen is a diehard liberal and is quite vocal about it. DC made Green Lantern to be the face of the conservative politics in their universe. Green Arrow and Green Lantern made for a good team but they always bickered over political issues that eventually turned them into rivals.

Spider-Man & Human Torch

Spider-Man tried tarnishing the one thing Johnny loves more than his own family – his street cred. The Human Torch reminds Peter Parker of the high school jocks that bullied him and made his life hell. The two had incredible chemistry together but despite being rivals, have helped each other on occasions.

The Hulk & The Thing

The Hulk and the Thing have clashed numerous times. Most of the time the Hulk wins with the thing having only had one or two wins to his name. But that does not stop our pal with the rock hard hide from trying and trying again. Both have superior strength and a never say never attitude which makes their rivalry even more intriguing.

They are the biggest science nerds in the history of the Marvel Comic Book Universe. Many a times in the comic books, they have joined forces to in search of new technology. But several times, just like all real world scientific visionaries, they have clashed against each other with their opposing point of views.

Superman & Shazam

Superman & Shazam have a rivalry that exceeds the DC Universe. Shazam aka Captain Marvel was once the property of Fawcett Comics. DC Comics sued Fawcett because the character was very similar to Superman. After Fawcett went under and DC bought the rights to Billy Batson, the world’s mightiest mortal has been a rival of the Last Son of Kyrpton ever since.

The Flash & Green Lantern

Wally took over for Barry Allen while Kyle Rayner never knew Hal Jordan to begin with. The Flash saw Kyle as undeserving of the role of the Green Lantern. Kyle saw Wally as an annoying judgmental person he can never be friends with. They have fought many times but do not let their mutual dislike of each other affect their work as superheroes.

Scarlet Witch & Rogue

After the events of House of M, many were angry with Scarlet Witch. So was Rogue but she didn’t reveal it until 2013’s Uncanny Avengers. Assuming that Scarlet Witch was going to repeat the same mistake again, rogue stole wolverine’s powers and almost killed Wanda.

Green Arrow & Hawkman

Like we said, Oliver Queen is a left wing extremist. Katar Hol an a super conservative space cop. They are like oil and water. The two may have been longtime teammates in the Justice League of America but they could never look eye to eye because of their difference in political ideologies.

Black Panther & Namor

Black Panther and Namor are both royalty. The two monarchs never had any animosity until the events of Avengers vs. X-Men. Namor was possessed by the Phoenix Force and flooded Wakanda to kill the Avengers. Many innocent Wakandans lost their lives, an act of war T’Challa has never been able to forgive Namor for.

Carol Danvers had just returned from a very misadventure in outer space. She was trying to live a normal life in San Francisco when Rogue came calling. A premonition from Destiny Rogue overheard stated that Carol. who was Ms. Marvel at the time, would destroy Rogue’s life. Rogue tried to avoid the prophecy by almost killing Carol, leaving her in a comatose state.
