Long before Nirvana became an established band, Kurt Cobain worked as a janitor. He was 17 y/o and he used his salary to pay for Nirvana’s first demo.

Before Jennifer Aniston stepped into showbiz, she was working as a telemarketer. “I was a telemarketer selling time-shares in the Poconos. I didn’t make one sale. I was terrible at it.” said Jennifer in an interview.

Kristen Wiig was working as a stewardess in the dining hall of Universal Studios before she made it big. Later she would often run into familiar faces on movie and TV show sets but couldn’t remember where she knew them from, “And then I’ll remember: oh yeah, I used to serve you Cobb salad” she says.

Before fame, Jon Hamm was doing dishes in a Greek restaurant. “At first, was a busboy and a dishwasher, and eventually I worked my way up the ladder and became a waiter,” he says.

Tiffany Haddish once worked in a bar as an “energy producer.” That is apparently a thing. She basically had to get people excited and bring in enthusiasm. She would give commands like “Get up, put them lox down, it’s time to dance!”

Gabourey Sidibe used to work as a phone sex operator. The “Precious” star worked for three years in that field. She admits that even today she unintentionally slips into her sex voice when she orders room service.

As a teen, Maria Menounos worked in Dunkin’ Donuts to fill her pockets.

Channing Tatum once worked in an animal nursery in Tampa, Florida. Tatum said in an interview: “I worked at a puppy/kitty nursery in Tampa, Fla., for about a year or something. At that time, I thought maybe should get a job as a vet tech.”
