Almost all of us were reminded of Star-Wars when we saw the first visuals of the film’s trailer. Dune is an adaptation from Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name that had elements used in Star Wars a decade later.

Denis Villeneuve had the genuis idea of splitting the story of Dune into two films. That will simply explain the elements with more depth. Part 2 of Dune is set to begin filming in 2022.

Just how in Game Of Thrones we had Dragons, Dune has Sandworms that play an essential part in the story. Their visuals in the trailer already had our jaws dropped.

The visuals that we’ve been treated with so far in the trailers are suggestive of a crazy cinematographic experience. Behind the lens in Dune was cinematographer Greig Fraser, who is known for his work in Rogue One and Zero Dark Thirty.

Hans Zimmer is composing the score

If a film has Hans Zimmer working on the score, be prepared for a promising experience. Zimmer has projects like Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and The Dark Knight Trilogy under his belt.

If you’re sick of Marvel, DC, and every other half-baked reboot and sequel dominating cinemas, Dune would give you something completely different. Though it hasn’t hit theaters yet, the studio has already given a nod for a sequel.
