While this has set the internet abuzz, reports suggest he wasn’t the sole contender. Apparently, Christopher Abbott and Jamie Dornan also fought for the role.
Two Other Actors Who Auditioned for the Role of Reed Richards

The report indicated that Christopher Abbott and Jamie Dornan made their way to London for auditions before these rumors emerged. However, the hunt persisted as the MCU acknowledged the necessity of securing a more prominent name, continuing their search for the perfect fit.
And thus reportedly offered Jake Gyllenhaal the role. However, the actor was reportedly too expensive to book, even for the Fantastic Four movie, as was Adam Driver. However, it now seems as if the relentless search has been put to rest, and Pascal is the only one. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, people are suspecting Pascal is meant to be.
