Directing an interesting, good TV series requires a lot of brainstorming. However, what requires even more effort is adding minute details in the series. Although this requires a whole lot of extra effort, it’s not necessary that the viewers actually pay attention to this.

1. SpongeBob SquarePants

In the Spongebob SquarePants Season 2 Episode 4 titled ‘Dying for Pie’, Spongebob slides across the window pestering Squidward who is on the other side. While doing so, he involuntarily wipes the window since he is a sponge.

2. Stranger Things

Winona Ryder had her first break in Beetlejuice(1988) as Lydia Deetz. In the Stranger Things Season 2 Episode 3 titled Chapter Three: The Pollywog, if you pay close attention to Mr. Clarke’s town model, one can see the Betelgeuse tombstone from Beetlejuice.

3. The Office US

In The Office, Season 2 Episode 13 titled ‘The Secret’, Michael spends $80 on some magic equipment from the corporate credit card for which he had to provide justification. If one looks carefully he was wearing a thumb tip which is a magic prop used to conceal small objects.

4. The Simpsons

In The Simpsons Season 30 Episode 15 titled 101 Mitigations, a game show in the opening credits shows Homer trying to guess the visuals on his screen. Marge comments, “you haven’t changed me since 1989” and Homer gets the answer right. Apparently, the show was created in 1989, and this was a subtle nod to the couch gag.

5. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

In Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 3 Episode 1 titled New Captain, Jake and Amy go on their first official date and decide to break the ice by getting drinks. First, Jake orders four Kamikaze shots to which Amy orders four for herself too. Next, we see Jake and Amy having slept together. This incident brought out “4 Drink Amy” aka Perv Amy aka Horny Amy.

In Modern Family Season 11 Episode 7 titled The last Thanksgiving, Gloria is asked by Claire if she is hiding pregnancy when she was behind the laundry basket. However, in Season 1 Episode 1, Claire had to hide behind various objects as she was eight and a half months pregnant.

7. Game of Thrones

Throughout the series of Game Of Thrones, the number of braids in Daenerys hair increases with each victory as it happens in the Dothraki tradition.

In BoJack Horseman Season 5 Episode 3 titled ‘Planned Obsolescence’, Diane interviews Laika who in reality was the first female dog to visit space and orbit the Earth.

9. Schitt’s Creek

In Schitt’s Creek Season 5 Episode 6 titled Rock On!, Antonio can be sighted the background (while David and Patrick are in the middle of a convo), scanning through the items that he later scams in the episode.

10. Grey’s Anatomy

In Grey’s Anatomy Season 2 Episode 12 Izzie tries to give away their pet dog to Doc and puts up flyers; later in Season 12 Episode 1 when Arizona is searching for roommates, the same flyer appears.

All episodes of the series Never Have I Ever have been narrated by John McEnroe except Ben’s episode, Season 1 Episode 6 titled …Been the loneliest boy in The World. In the same episode a poster of Andy Samberg, the narrator of the episode, can be seen on his room’s wall.

In Parks and Recreation Season 2, Leslie is dating an MRI technician who tells her that she has the perfect uterus for triplets. Later in Season 6, Leslie is pregnant with triplets.

13. Friends

In Friends Season 4 Episode 12 titled The One With The Embryos, Joey and Chandler win Monica and Rachel’s flat. While they are switching the apartments, we can see the 11 different towel categories that Monica has.

The makers have worked so hard in adding details that Ewan McGregor’s small blemish has been added on his character’s forehead in the Clone Wars.

In How I Met Your Mother Season 1 Episode 9 titled Belly Full Of Turkey, Ted tells his kids that he met a stripper named Tracy, and that’s how he met their mother. It is later told that their mother’s name is Tracy which explains why the kids believed him in the first place.

In Lost Season 1 Episode 25, Walt, Michael’s son is abducted. Later in Season 2, Hurley is seen drinking milk from a carton that has the missing child photo of Walt.
