With one month closing until the worldwide premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios is releasing more new footage for their biggest film yet. But, one Avenger has yet to even show his face in any footage or any of the marketing campaigns, and that character is Hawkeye.
Fans have been dying to find out what Hawkeye’s role in the movie will be. According to the Russo brothers, directors of the upcoming Avengers films, Hawkeye will play a major part in the plot.
Joe Russo says that Hawkeye will have a key role in the film:
“Characters on Cap’s team made certain decisions,” he said, “and others made other decisions that led to different paths in them dealing with oversight in this movie in a different way. So Hawkeye’s on his own journey in this movie.”
Anthony Russo agreed:
“he has a unique reaction to the Civil War situation that puts him in a special spot in this film.”
