Russo Brothers Talk Silver Surfer In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Featured Video

Last month, rumors leaked about the possibility of none other than the Silver Surfer himself appearing in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. With Kevin Feige saying multiple times in the past that he’d love to bring the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the recent pending Disney/Fox acquisition, things seemed less and less farfetched. Could Disney have worked out a deal to squeak in some Fox-owned characters into the already jam-packed Infinity War?

While making the rounds for their press tour, the Russos were asked point-blank about the possibility of a certain silver cameo, and the boys had this to say:

“I don’t think we own Silver Surfer…But it’s fan-wish fulfillment and, you know, if this Disney-Fox deal goes through there’s going to be a lot more characters coming into the Marvel universe, so some of those crazy fan theories might come true.”

While they didn’t outright say “no,” things seem pretty cut and dry here. It’s highly likely that there’s no Silver Surfer this go-round, but with Feige’s undying love for the character, I’d say it’s only a matter of time.
