That Hashtag Show recently revealed that Legends of Tomorrow is looking to cast two new roles for its fourth season. The first role will be for Nate Heywood-aka Steel’s father Hank, described as a hard edged Department of Defense employee with a “Woody Harrelson-y charm.” The second is a female Asian character in her twenties named “Ali”, who would be joining Legends in a series regular role.

“She is somewhere in her 20s as a young woman who is searching deeply for her mission in life.” The casting description reads. “Teased as a mega-intelligent and sharp as heck person, “Ali” tends to sometimes be a little aloof and being too distracted by her own imagination as well as romantic impulses. She loves YA literature as well as fantasy novels hence her hunger and curiosity for adventures. Despite her disappointment with the state of the world, “Ali” continues to keep an optimistic head as much as possible with any situation that she faces. “Ali” also has a deep love for animals as she believes each animal has a purpose to fulfill on our planet.”

Whoever Ali turns out to be, she is more than likely taking Wally West’s place as Keiynan Lonsdale is departing following the season four premiere.

In season three, the team land in Star City after defeating Legion of Doom, learning that they created anachronisms through time. Rip Hunter has formed a new organization, the Time Bureau, tasked with fixing the anachronisms. Zari Adrianna Tomaz joins the team, a hacktivist from 2042 who can manipulate air by using a powerful amulet connected to Amaya’s totem. Rip Hunter tells the team of a demonic entity, Mallus, whose follower, Eleanor, has resurrected Amaya’s granddaughter Kuasa and Damien Darhk for a dark purpose.
