Crossovers are like catnip to hardcore fans. There’s no denying the thrill of seeing fan favorite characters team up to save mankind, or the sheer scope and scale of it all. The DC Television Universe is no stranger to crossovers, and this year’s, which will introduce Ruby Rose as Batwoman, will also be introducing a pair of supporting characters familiar to DC fans.

Bitsie Tulloch, best known for her role in Grimm, has been cast as intrepid reporter Lois Lane; meanwhile Cassandra Jean Amell, known for her role in One Tree Hill, has been cast as Nora Fries. For those who do not know, Fries is the terminally ill wife of Batman villain Mister Freeze.

What role Lois and Nora will play in the crossover have yet to be determined.
