Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will be honored by The Ryman Arts Board with the first Marty & Leah Sklar Creative Visionary Award.

Kevin Feige will get a reward for the recognition of his creative vision and in the honor of his ability to use storytelling and visual effects in a film to bring superheroes into life. Here’s the statement released by the Board President of Ryman Arts, Phil Hettema:

“The Ryman Arts Board established the Marty & Leah Sklar Creative Visionary Award to honour Marty’s memory and to celebrate the legacy of two amazing founders of our organization. We are thrilled that the first recipient of the award, Kevin Feige, embodies the aspiration of the award so completely. Kevin has reimagined an entire universe of storytelling and introduced us to thrilling new worlds through his creative leadership and vision.”

He will receive the award on November 7th in Los Angeles at the Majestic Downtown. Many special guests and Feige will be delivering speeches during the event. The event will start with a panel discussion and VIP reception with Black Panther writer Joe Cole and director of photography, Rachel Morrison.
