It appears that the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 from Polish publisher and developer CD Projekt Red may have a possible release date now.

While details on the science fiction role-playing title are scarce a few leaks are always popping up here and there to fill in the gaps that CDPR won’t. The latest leak has provided information on what sort of content will be coming with just the standard edition of Cyberpunk 2077.

According to an anonymous user on ResetEra was able to share a photo from a “friend” which provides a look at the alleged cover art for the title as well as digital and physical exclusives that you can get with a copy.

What information can be gleaned from this image is that the image is written in Polish and the publisher is listed as CD Projekt, which suggests that CDPR is handling global distribution for the title instead of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Based on this, it is likely that this image is not false.

The Polish text provides a breakdown of the physical and digital content that will come with every copy of Cyberpunk 2077. Based on the breakdown this is what consumers can expect:

Physical Content:

  • Map of Night City
  • Postcards of Night City
  • Cyberpunk 2077 Stickers
  • A Compendium of Knowledge on the game

Digital Content:

  • In-game Soundtrack
  • Artbook
  • Guide of Cyberpunk 2020 (the pen and paper game)
  • Digital Wallpaper

None of this sounds sketchy, when you consider the amount of content that came with just the standard edition of CDPR’s previous project, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. With the standard edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, players were able to get a set of stickers, a compendium of knowledge for the game’s world, a physical map of the game’s world, and the soundtrack.

This theory has been further supported by promotional material for Cyberpunk 2077 being spotted at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which was confirmed by a Redditor.

It has previously been reported that CD Projekt Red does aim to release the title for a Fall 2019 release, but that they could possibly push it back for an early 2020 release. Kotaku’s Jason Schreier has previously stated that this is indeed the case via Twitter.

While some may question the validity of Schreier’s reporting it is important to note that he is a credible voice within the industry. After all he is the one who confirmed that Ubisoft was planning to show Watch Dogs Legion this year and that the new Modern Warfare was a reboot before Activision could even confirm it. He has a strong track record.

Either way it is likely that we will receive some new information for Cyberpunk 2077 at this year’s E3 since it has been confirmed that CDPR is indeed attending and will be on stage during Microsoft’s conference. At most, fans should expect a new trailer, a release date set in 2020, and story details. I am even willing to gamble that CD Projekt Red may open the window for pre-orders even if the game is releasing in 2020. Mainly because most publishers/developers won’t start releasing promotional material for any of their titles unless they are getting ready to start a marketing campaign to get people to pre-order or buy their products.

Regardless, we are sure to get some new information on the game and you can expect to catch all of the information on it here at FandomWire, the foremost gaming news site!

Microsoft’s conference is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 9th at 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.
