Wizard World Comic-Con Comes To Philadelphia

Comic-book, fantasy and science-fiction fans have flocked to Wizard World’s annual convention, as it arrived in the Pennsylvania city of Philadelphia this weekend.

Wizard World has become a staple across America with different locations across the country including the Philadelphia Convention Center. The four-day event took place this year from Thursday (June 13th) to Sunday (June 16th). Among the attractions and exhibitions, the Comic-Con event included a four-day weekend of celebrity guest meet and greets, with television and voice actors as well as professional wrestlers included.

Stars from hit television series such as Once Upon a Time, Smallville, Supergirl, Charmed, and Cheers were in attendance, including Lana Parrilla, Rebecca Mader, Mechad Brooks, Dean Cain, John Glover and Kevin Conroy were among the assembly of celebrity guests as well as Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Lisa Marie Varon of pro-wrestling fame. Film actors, or cult icons as they may be known in some circles, include Terminator 2: Judgement Day child star Edward Furlong, Tony Danza, Thomas Ian Nicholas and American Pie star Chris Owen.

Autograph and selfies were available for the majority of celebrity guests, with the priciest single autograph being The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder at $80 and the most expensive combo being Once Upon a Time star Rebecca Mader being $90 and the individual autograph and selfie standing at $50 each. Professional photo-ops were are also available both with individual stars and combos based on series. Varying on price dependent on the star or the series the star is representing, these are definitely pricey purchases but worth it for the memories.
