DC Universe has renewed Young Justice for a fourth season.
During the DC Universe panel at San Diego Comic Con, Young Justice creators Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti revealed that the hit DC animated series has been renewed for a fourth season.
The currently airing third season of the series been about the Team attempting to stop a metahuman trafficking ring organized by Lex Luthor, The Light, and Darkseid. Luthor has been spending his time as the UN Secretary General handicapping the Justice League from intervening in any international crisis. To combat the rogues, a few heroes have left both the Team and the Justice League to form the Outsiders. This new team of heroes led by Beast Boy has gone viral and inspired people to look up to superheroes again.
Young Justice Outsiders has welcomed a whole new slew of characters to its roster including The Orphan, Geo-Force, Spoiler, Halo, Terra, and so many more. This is in preparation for the season finale, which will feature a fatal confrontation with classic Justice League villain, Darkseid.
In fact, every episode of the series thus far has had a secret code in the episode title, with the first letters of each name spelling out the phrase “PREPARE THE ANTI-LIFE…” With the final part of this saying being “Equation” it is pretty obvious to die-hard fans can expect an epic season finale.
Weisman and Vietti were not able to explain what they have planned for the fourth season. It is likely that we will get a better idea of what the future holds for the series as season three draws to a close.
Young Justice Outsiders is currently available for streaming on the DC Universe streaming service with new episodes premiering every Tuesday.
