A Long Time Ago in A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Lucasfilm released the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker tonight during the Jets vs. Patriots game. As all the Star Wars fans are well aware of the movie’s release later this year, Lucasfilm is no doubt looking to target the average movie going audience by airing the trailer during the Monday Night Football event.

Rise of Skywalker will conclude the Skywalker Saga that started in 1977 with (then just simply titled) Star Wars hit theaters. Expect the marketing campaign to start ramping up as we get closer to the release date.

The Fall and Winter will very much belong to Lucasfilm with what will undoubtedly be the biggest blockbuster of the Christmas movie season but also Disney+’s flagship series, The Mandalorian on November 12th, and upcoming single-player action-adventure video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releasing on November 15th.
