Coming to Nintendo Switch on June 27 this year, Tchia will finally make its way to a platform that is known for having some of the best platformers around. Originally released on PlayStation and Windows in 2023, the game garnered the attention of thousands who delved into the beautiful locations the game is made of.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game looks as great as you’d expect, and will likely make for the perfect escape if you’re looking into exploring a massive and wholesome world on a smaller screen, welcoming fun mechanics and stories that are eager to be told.
Nintendo Switch Is Quite Likely the Perfect Platform for Tchia
If you’ve been a fan of platformers on Switch, you know how well Nintendo brands and markets itself as a home to every game that’s made of great platforming and non-linear mechanics. Tchia is literally a game filled with things to do, and all of these experiences are added to the player’s journey.
User iii_initiative announced this on Twitter recently, also sharing a trailer specially curated for the Switch version of the game. Much like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this game too thrives on a massive open-world with different paradigms to how it handles platforming.
In the case of Tchia, the game may start off with a strong narrative sequence but slowly blends into an open canvas for players to explore. The different terrains and level design make for a spiritual journey, but also mix a lot of mechanics you may have not seen in other platforming titles, even in some of the best open-world games.
What Makes Tchia So Special?
Fans of Super Mario Odyssey may be familiar with a concept that feels quite at home in Tichia. The ability to simply jump into another being’s soul, and experience the world through their perspective. Tchia lets players soar, swim, and dive across different terrains, and this mechanic makes it all the more enjoyable.
Furthermore, the open world also strives to be a wholesome reflection of the little things in life. The people you meet, the connections you make, and the communities you get to be a part of. All in all, this is a game that you relax and dive into, rather than chase an objective over and over again.
Once you get used to the rhythm of soul-jumping and gaining newer insights into the world around you, Tchia almost becomes a therapeutic journey that becomes tough to put down. Eventually, this game will likely become a much-revered addition to the massive library of Nintendo Switch games.
